For the past 5 years I have worked in the lab of Prof. Rene Bernards at the Netherlands Cancer Institute as a PhD student. I am now close to my graduation date and I want to put some of the skills I have mastered to use, as a consultant. Throughout these years I have performed and validated over 20 genetic (CRISPR) and compound screens. This experience lead to the discovery and development of novel method that increases the success rate of target identification via CRISPR screening (manuscript submited) -therefore I consider this to be my main expertise. Additionally, I have also lead the pre-clinical (in vitro and in vivo) validation of 2 different novel drug combinations, one of which is currently being taken forward into a clinical trial. Finally, throughout this process I have also writen several scientific papers (at the moment 2 are accepted, 1 is under review and 3 are close to submission) and therefore I can also provide advice in scientific writing.
