I am a biochemist and structural biologist with a general interest in transcription and RNA processing.

My research has focused on understanding the molecular details of eukaryotic gene expression with a particular focus on transcription and RNA processing. I have extensive hands-on experience in biochemistry, structural biology (cryo-EM), molecular biology, genomics (next generation sequencing) and chemical-genetics. I have extensive experience (>10 years) in academic and scientific writing, copy editing and formatting scientific research articles for publication. I also have experience in developing and writing successfully funded NSF and NIH grants. I would be happy to help with: - Literature reviews - Copy edit manuscripts and grant application - Grant writing - Academic writing - Manuscript writing and formatting I am happy to help develop new or established projects and provide feedback on manuscripts and grant applications. I am particularly apt at problem solving through the systematic dissection of critical variables, making new connections, spotting knowledge gaps, designing experiments and identifying new and exciting directions for future research.
