My specific interest is in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics, Cancer Genetics, DNA Repair pathways and Mutagenesis, Tumour cell Culture and Gene Knock out models, Endocrinology and LAB. Skills includes, Cancer cell lines cell culturing, cloning, genetic engineering, Preparation of knockdown model using RNAi (shRNA) approach, DNA extraction from blood by manual and kit method, RNA extraction from tissue by manual and kit method, Genotyping techniques using ARMS PCR, RFLP, Expressional Analysis using Real Time PCR and Immunohistochemistry Techniques. Recently I have completed my PhD (Waiting for degree in convocation). I have worked on thyroid cancer (Title of thesis: Elucidating the Molecular Basis of Thyroid Tumorigenesis). I have worked on 456 thyroid cancer patients along with 400 controls (Total 856) and SNP (three SNPs for each gene) analysis for genes of BER pathways (OGG1, PARP1, XRCC1 and APEX1). I have also worked of expressional analysis of these gene using Real Time PCR and immunohistochemical techniques. I have also worked on thyroid cancer cell lines to prepare knockdown model for gene XRCC1. My research work comprises 4 cohort
