Dr. Khaled A. Nagaty is a Professor of computer science and the director of university eLearning at the British University in Egypt based in El Sherouk City. Professor Nagaty has published over 40 papers on different subjects including cloud computing, biometrics, bioinformatics, steganography, image processing and e-commerce. He is a reviewer in many famous scientific journals and international conferences which include: IET Biometrics, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Optical Engineering – SPIE and IEEE International Conference in Image Processing (ICIP) since 2008-until now. His Ph.D. in computer science was published in the form of printed book by Lap Lambert in Germany, 2012. He is famous in the field of computer science giving many invited papers at international meetings around the world. After obtaining B.Sc. degree in statistics from Cairo University in 1982, he started work at the information department (ID) in Cairo. During his time at the ID and later he continued his research in computer science and obtaining his Ph.D. in 1999. Dr. Nagaty joined Ain Shams University in Egypt in 2000 as an Assistant Professor in computer science and continued his work in the field of biometrics and image processing. In 2007, he promoted to Associate Professor in computer science and in 2008 he moved to the British University in Egypt (BUE) at El Sherouk City in partnership with Loughborough University and London South Bank University in UK where he is responsible for teaching computer science courses namely theory of computing, compilers design and data structures. He supervised master theses in the fields of face recognition, content base image retrieval, case base reasoning, genetic algorithms, and DNA steganography. In 2016, he was promoted to Professor in computer science and currently he is a permanent Professor at the BUE in Egypt.
