As a professional editor, I help biomedical authors prepare manuscripts for publication in the scholarly journal of their choice. From my research experience in a pharmacology lab, I understand how vital writing can be for scientists. The words used to communicate scientific solutions impact funding, publication status, and overall career success. My editing approach focuses on cultivating clarity that helps science shine. By working with me, my clients can rest easy knowing I have smoothed out awkward sentences, gotten rid of inconsistencies, eliminated wordiness, and corrected errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Because I am well-versed in the standard biomedical style guides (eg, AMA, APA, CSE, ACS), they can also trust me to correctly format and style their manuscript. The manuscripts I’ve edited for my clients have been accepted into an array of scholarly journals, including the Annals of Surgery, Cell Death & Disease, Critical Care, and Journal of Clinical Oncology. Although I enjoy editing for a broad area of scientific topics, I am particularly comfortable with cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and oncology.
