Originally a cog in the global machine of medical research, I worked diligently to get high-ranking Ph.D. and postdoctoral positions in both Australia and internationally. During that time I wrote countless articles on scientific topics - these ranged from my doctoral work (i.e. thesis, reports), to published manuscripts, to science communication articles in print and on-line. After living a postdoctoral life for 6 years, I turned down a potential tenure-track position to follow a career with a better work-life balance. I retrained as an ESL (English as a second language) teacher in Italy, and opened a business in which I write, edit, and proofread manuscripts from a wide variety of clients (scientific, political, financial, ethical, and general business documents).
