I am a very passionate research scientist interested in community-based programs that reduce health disparities. I am especially committed to contributing to the evidence base of what works to improve health and health-related outcomes especially with regards to maternal and child health.

In my academic career, I completed my dissertation research in the department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. My dissertation focused on evaluating factors associated with adherence to the use of insecticide-treated bed nets by Nigerian children.

My technical expertise includes infectious diseases especially Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers. I have had experience designing, coordinating, and conducting research projects in the US and abroad, especially in low-resource settings. I also have strong analytic, written, and oral communication skills.

My interests include: 
outbreak preparedness, maternal and child health, community-based interventions, international development, environmental health and health policy (especially in developing countries), capacity building, environmental epidemiology, public health sustainability.
