Dr. Mohit Malik is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Design Sciences, Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Lund University, Sweden, specializing in digital transformation, sustainable and resilient supply chains, packaging logistics, and data-driven decision systems. His work focuses on resilient and sustainable packaging logistics, digital twin–enabled systems, and circular supply chain design, addressing challenges related to net-zero transitions, system resilience, and Industry 5.0–driven transformations.
He holds a Ph.D. from NIFTEM-K (Institute of National Importance, India), where his doctoral research developed a Hybrid AI- and Blockchain-enabled traceability system for supply chains, bridging advanced digital technologies with real-world industrial applications. His research bridges theory, industry, and policy by translating rigorous academic models into scalable, industry-ready solutions, enabling practical implementation of digital, sustainable, and resilient systems. His expertise spans digital supply chain management, packaging logistics, digital twins, AI-enabled decision support, ESG and net-zero strategy, and research-to-industry translation across food systems, manufacturing, and logistics. Dr. Malik has authored 25+ publications in high-impact SCI/ABDC/CABS/Scopus-indexed international journals and actively contributes to the academic community through conference leadership roles and a reviewer for more than 30 prestigious journals such as Technovation, Trends in Food Science and Technology, Sustainable Future, Future Foods and many more. Alongside academia, he engages in consulting, advisory work, funded research projects, and executive education, collaborating with universities, industry, and public institutions to support digital sustainability and net-zero-oriented innovation, contributing to multiple UN SDGs including SDG2, SDG 3, SDG 9, SDG 12, SDG 13, and SDG 17.
