Martins Eke had his secondary education at Federal Government College, Ikom, Cross River State and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He holds a Masters in Public Health from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria where he graduated with distinction earning a CGPA of 4.82 on a 5.0 scale. Martins Eke is a Fellow of the International Budget Partnership and was part of the Fellowship’s training on leadership and management delivered in Dakar, Senegal by the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Phoenix, USA. He participated in the 26th Conference of Parties (COP 26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which was held in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Martins Eke works in the NGO sector as a Program Manager and has managed projects funded by several international development partners including the United States Agency for International Development, European Union, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Heinrich Boell Stiftung, International Budget Partnership, etc. Martins Eke has written several advocacy articles in newspapers, as well as made several radio and television appearances advocating for an improvement in the human development indicators of Nigerians. He has participated in several high-level policy dialogues in Nigeria including the National Council on Power, National Council on Mining, National Council on Hydrocarbons, etc., and has presented papers at several conferences, trainings and workshops
