Extensive experience in Virology/Immunology/Gene Editing. Infectious diseases, mRNA/Vaccine research. I am a research scientist developing novel approaches toward cures for infectious diseases. My expertise includes the conceptualisation and management of research projects, which are driven by creative ideas. I have worked in academia and the private sector over the last 18 years and am competent in a broad range of techniques and methods in the area of life sciences. This includes working with infectious agents in high containment laboratory settings, cell-based assays, primary cell tissue culture, recombinant protein production and purification, lipid nanoparticles, mRNA therapeutics (targeted drug design against infectious agents, vaccines), molecular cloning, genetic modifications using CRISPR/Cas, chimeric human/bovine antibodies, and many more. I value an empathetic and compassionate work environment, which levels every team member as an integral part to the success of a project, independently of their job description, education or pay level.
