I am a Senior Scientist and Team Lead with over a decade of experience bridging the gap between fundamental molecular discovery and industrial-scale cell therapy manufacturing. At Lonza, my work centers on the strategic development of the Cocoon® Platform, where I lead multidisciplinary teams to automate complex T-cell therapy processes. My expertise spans from designing patented cell culture architectures to managing high-stringency RNA-protein interaction studies. Currently, I drive innovation in Process Development (PD) by integrating novel technologies like Buoyancy-Activated Cell Sorting (BACS™) into closed-system workflows, ensuring high-purity and scalable cell manufacturing. I am also a co-inventor on patent WO xxxxxxxxxxx A1, having designed advanced cell culture chambers that maximize yield through optimized fluid dynamics and gas exchange. Beyond the lab, I am passionate about developing the next generation of scientists. As a scientific advisor, I have led award-winning iGEM teams in engineering autonomous genetic circuits to solve challenges in neurodegeneration and sustainable agriculture.
