I am a Phd in Computational Biology and Toxicology with over 8 years of research experience in computational toxicology, bioinformatics, and in silico risk assessment, spanning academic research institutes and industry. I hold a PhD from AcSIR (CSIR-IITR, Lucknow), along with M.Tech and B.Tech in Bioinformatics, and I am currently working as a Scientist (Level 2) in an industry role. My core expertise lies in mechanistic, data-driven analysis of chemical and drug safety, including drug–drug interaction (DDI) evaluation, QSAR modeling, predictive toxicology, pathway and network analysis, and phenotype-specific risk assessment. I have extensive experience applying computational biology approaches to real-world safety and regulatory problems, particularly involving specialty chemicals, PFAS, dietary compounds, and therapeutic drugs. In my current role, I am involved in the design, development, and validation of Python-based computational workflows for DDI assessment, integrating molecular targets, gene–drug relationships, and clinical evidence to identify victim–perpetrator dynamics and interaction risks. My work emphasizes logical problem formulation, reproducibility, structured validation, and clear scientific interpretation, making outputs suitable for internal review, regulatory discussion, and decision-making. During my tenure at CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), I worked as a Senior Project Associate, Senior Research Fellow, and Junior Research Fellow, contributing to multiple nationally funded research projects. I was actively involved in the development of toxicity databases (ToxDP2 and ToxFCDB) and in silico evaluation of endocrine disruption, carcinogenicity, hepatotoxicity, mutagenicity, and developmental toxicity. I have also supervised junior researchers and postgraduate students, providing mentorship in computational problem-solving and research design. I have authored 15+ peer-reviewed research articles and 4 book chapters, with publications in reputed journals and edited volumes, and have presented my work at national and international scientific forums. My research excellence has been recognized through awards such as the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship, Eat Right Research Award (FSSAI), and Best Poster Presentation awards. Technically, I am proficient in Python and R, molecular docking and dynamics (GROMACS, Schrödinger Maestro, Discovery Studio), QSAR and toxicoinformatics platforms (DEREK Nexus, VEGA QSAR, SARAH Nexus, CASE Ultra), and bioinformatics databases and visualization tools. I am comfortable working on short-term consulting assignments, collaborative research projects, manuscript preparation, data analysis, and method validation. I am particularly interested in collaborative, interdisciplinary projects where computational analysis supports drug discovery, safety assessment, regulatory science, or translational research, and I value clear communication, scientific rigor, and timely delivery of high-quality results.
