I am a Speech and Language Therapist. My research focuses on typical and atypical speech, language and literacy acquisition. My particular interest is in speech development in the languages of Southern Africa, multilingualism and ways to support clinicians when working with families from a range of language backgrounds. I have published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers, and written several books and book chapters. I am Associate editor of two international journals and an experienced peer reviewer.
