Researcher with 11 years of experience in the field of food quality control and biotechnology. In addition to scientific activities conducted within academic ecosystems and companies, I have been part of teams focused on work and project management in areas such as applied microbiology in mining, prevention against invasive species, and laboratory management. For the past three years, my primary role has been in the development of biotechnological projects using Agile methods in a startup, serving in roles such as Scrum Master. Furthermore, I have been involved in the Human Resources organisation, managing recruitment and selection processes for new employees as well as handling terminations. I have solid experience in process optimization for research and project management, as well as in laboratory and workplace environments. I leverage creativity and strong abstraction skills to anticipate needs when implementing and adapting new tools, planning employee training, and organising experiments and experimental work in general. I demonstrate patience and persistence in integrating official regulations into the company culture. Due to my natural tendency to communicate spontaneously and quickly, I have earned the trust of colleagues and fostered open interactions, resulting in better organisational dynamics. I react swiftly to emergencies, preparing contingency plans both at the lab bench and in the office. I readily assume leadership roles when needed. These skills were crucial during my management of people and organisation of the laboratory throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. I am highly motivated to work with people, demonstrating ease in asking for help when necessary and flexibility in aligning my work with that of others. I take a collaborative approach, always prepared to engage with the team, even in complex situations, actively listening and adjusting processes to meet their needs. PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Novi Sad (Serbia), Bachelor with honours in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the Faculty of Technology, University of Niš (Serbia). Languages: English (C2, certified by the University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations), Portuguese (advanced level, certified by the Portuguese for Foreigners Course, UFRJ), Serbian (native language). Fluent in Serbian, capable of understanding and using Croatian and Bosnian, and understanding Macedonian and Slovenian. Since childhood, I have been passionate about reading in various fields and am a great cinephile. I believe this is important for understanding the world from different perspectives, developing empathy for situations we have not personally experienced, and solving challenges with greater creativity. I believe this has contributed to making my international experiences consistent and enriching. I believe we must play a more active role in helping society within our capacities. Therefore, from 2016 to 2020, I was part of the NGO Cidadão Pró-Mundo, which focuses on educating people from low-income backgrounds, specifically teaching English classes.
