I am a dedicated hydrologist and geospatial scientist specializing in remote sensing, GIS, and hydrological modeling. With a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and extensive experience in climate and water resource research, my work focuses on assessing the impacts of urbanization and climate change on hydrological systems. My expertise includes working with a wide range of remote sensing datasets, including Landsat, Sentinel-1 & 2, MODIS, and LiDAR, for water resource and environmental analysis. I am proficient in GIS-based hydrological modeling, using tools like ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine (GEE), HEC-HMS, SWAT, MODFLOW, R Studio, and FEFLOW to study watershed dynamics, groundwater systems, and land-use changes. I have contributed to multiple international research projects, including: Climate and Anthropogenic Impacts on Coastal Urban Watersheds – Investigating hydrological changes in Shanghai and Karachi. Urbanization and Climate Change-Induced Groundwater Degradation – Examining seawater intrusion and hydrochemical shifts in coastal aquifers. Hydrochemical Response of Shanghai Aquifers to Climate and LULC Changes – Studying the long-term effects of climate variability on groundwater systems. In addition to research, I have experience in fieldwork, soil and water chemical analysis, and climate modeling using statistical downscaling techniques. My work has been published in leading journals, reflecting my commitment to advancing knowledge in hydro-climatology and environmental sustainability. I am passionate about integrating geospatial technology and data-driven approaches to address critical water resource challenges in a changing climate.
