I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. I hold a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (University of Gujrat) with a thesis on rational engineering of microbial proteases for thermostability and industrial applications — a patented invention. I have over 15 years of academic and research experience spanning protein engineering, structural biology, bioinformatics, and machine learning. My research expertise includes protein science and crystallography, molecular biology methods (PCR, sequencing, gel electrophoresis), bioinformatics (3D structure prediction, molecular docking, MD simulations, QSAR modeling, epitope-based vaccine design), and modern omics (NGS, bulk and single-cell RNA-Seq). I have developed three ML-based tools for anti-cancer peptide prediction, antimicrobial peptide prediction, and MD simulation analysis (GROmancer). I am proficient in R for statistical modeling, data analysis, and machine learning, with foundational knowledge in Python. I have published over 40 peer-reviewed articles (762+ citations, h-index: 10) and actively supervise MS and PhD students. I have also served as a resource person in multiple computational biology and bioinformatics workshops across Pakistan.
