I am a very determined and result-oriented scientist, with over 6 years of interdisciplinary research experience, evidenced by two first-author publications and co-author for 3 others. My primary background is in Materials Science and Semiconductor Physics. I have strong expertise in process optimization and characterization of thin film semiconductors for optoelectronics and photo-voltaic applications, namely: solar energy systems, sensors and other related applications. ♦ Excellent team player and problem solver with strong collaborative skills developed while working with research professionals in academia, as well as in industry on collaborative projects which results to date in 3 publications. As example, I worked successfully during my PhD with an industrial partner at MERCK Chemicals Darmstadt, carrying my work in three different labs between two different countries (Germany & Netherlands), meeting up the tight deadline fixed for the project, while complying with all the legal/professionals ethics required for the project. ♦ Outstanding easy-integration abilities in multicultural environments, as evidenced by having lived and successfully worked in 5 different scientific labs in 4 different countries for the last 7 years. ♦ Experienced communicator, with excellent written and oral communication skills, evidenced by 3 oral talks given at two international and one national conference engaging a 300+ and 200+ audience respectively.
