I recently completed a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow, where my work focused on designing and applying image-based and quantitative approaches to study complex cell culture systems applied to inflammation modelling and drug testing. Through this, I developed strong skills in experimental design, data analysis, and interpreting high-dimensional datasets, particularly in the context of microscopy and image-driven research. My doctoral research involved developing and applying analytical workflows to extract meaningful biological insights from complex imaging data. This required not only technical problem-solving but also the ability to translate scientific questions into structured, reproducible analyses. I worked across interdisciplinary boundaries, combining elements of biology, engineering, and data science, and collaborated with researchers from different specialisms. Alongside my research, I have developed a strong interest in the application of AI and data-driven methods in the life sciences. I have been actively building my understanding of how computational approaches can be used to enhance scientific discovery and improve research efficiency. I am particularly interested in bridging the gap between complex technical developments and their practical application in research and translational contexts. In addition to my technical skills, I have significant experience in synthesising complex scientific and technological information into clear, structured outputs. This includes literature analysis, report writing, and communicating findings to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. I am comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively, and I bring a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving. Overall, my background combines rigorous scientific training, hands-on experience with data-intensive research, and a growing focus on AI-driven methodologies. I am particularly motivated by roles that sit at the intersection of science, data, and real-world impact, where I can contribute to advancing research through both technical insight and clear communication.
