Dr. Morelli, PT, DPT, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of neuroscience and expert in cognitive-motor systems, neurorehabilitation, and neuroimaging (MRI and EEG). His research agenda focuses on understanding cognitive-motor interactions during clinical tests of gait and balance in those with a concussion and neurodegenerative disease. Additionally, using functional connectivity magnetic resonance imaging and volumetric analyses, Dr. Morelli’s research aims to determine how central nervous system structure and function influence gait, balance, and cognitive function. Dr. Morelli earned a BS in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University, a DPT from Marshall University, and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Kentucky. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, educational sessions , and invited seminars on his research. Dr. Morelli also serves as manuscript reviewer for multiple journals.
