I'm a versatile data scientist with years of experience in data modeling, software development, experimental design (A/B tests), and data analysis. I have a background in theoretical physics where I created models for ultra-cold atoms to explore fundamental quantum physics. In the industry, I have developed and deployed production quality software with Python and SQL. For large scale deployment, I have experience with Docker and Kubernetes. The types of models I've built are regularized linear regression models, random forests for data with categorical variables, time series models such as ARIMA and Facebook-Prophet, Baysesian simulations with PyMC, and neural networks for multi-class predictions. I enjoy anything from from simple data filtering to histograms or data transformations. Of course, visualizing data is always fun. To get the full knowledge of data metrics, I firmly believe in reporting statistics with as much information as can be extracted -- confidence intervals, distribution curve fits, etc. I'm also a physicist with many years of hands on laboratory experience as well as theoretical modeling. I am skilled with laser systems, optics, electronics, and scientific methodologies. I am accomplished developing experimental processes, theoretical physical models, and simulations. My practical modeling and computer programming skills are in Python, C++, MatLab, Mathematica, and LabView. I've coded Monte Carlo simulations, solutions to non-linear differential equations, and data acquisition/analysis.
