OVERVIEW With ample experience in academic publishing, academic editing, and as a native English speaker, I draw from a wealth of experience to offer you high-quality academic publishing services. WHAT I DO My research is focused on glaciers, permafrost and snow in alpine and arctic environments, combining fieldwork and remote sensing (e.g. satellite imagery). Currently, I am working at a research center (Centro de Estudios Avanzados en Zonas Áridas) based in La Serena, Chile, as a researcher and am a Guest Editor for the Journal Frontiers and iScience. Major issues that are likely to be flagged by journal peer reviewers are highlighted facilitating a smooth peer review process. - Review process guidance and feedback: Review your response to reviewer comments during the peer review process or in preparation for a re-submission so that you may confidently submit your response. - Translation of your manuscript from Spanish to English (I am fluent in English and proficient in Spanish). - I am particularly passionate about working on projects and manuscripts that address sustainability challenges facing society including climate change, environmental degradation and pollution, water resources and/or the cryosphere in general. AREAS OF EXPERTISE - Ph.D. and postdoctoral work in the cryospheric sciences (glaciers, snow, and permafrost) - Academic publishing and editing - GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and cartography - Remote sensing (e.g. glacier inventories, elevation change analysis, deriving velocity fields) - Airborne and ground-based LiDAR analysis (e.g. elevation change, snow volume) - Ground-penetrating radar (e.g. internal structure of glaciers) - Citizen science projects related to the cryosphere ACADEMIC PUBLISHING & EDITING EXPERIENCE Having published 15 articles (6 first author), reviewed articles for four journals, and served as editor for multiple journals, I am familiar with academic publishing and the peer review process from many perspectives.
