I am a geophysicist with expertise in numerical modeling, data analysis, scientific programming, and technical writing. I hold a PhD with a specialty in Physical Volcanology and have over ten years of experience conducting research in geoscience, natural hazards, fluid dynamics, and computational modeling. My research career has involved the development and application of numerical models, analysis of complex datasets, laboratory experimentation, and scientific software workflows. During my doctorate, I investigated particle transport in high-velocity gas flows using a combination of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), laboratory shock-tube experiments, image analysis, and high-performance computing. Earlier projects included volcanic ash transport modeling, conduit flow simulations, and hazard assessment studies. I have worked with internationally recognized research organizations, including the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the Geological Survey of Japan (AIST). These projects involved data processing, numerical simulations, geospatial analysis, scientific programming, model validation, and technical reporting. My technical skills include Python, Shell scripting, OpenFOAM, QGIS, ImageJ, LaTeX, Linux-based computing environments, and high-performance computing systems. I regularly use these tools for data analysis, automation, visualization, numerical modeling, and scientific research.
