I had my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biotechnology. I pursued my Ph.D. in Clinical Immunology from the prestigious institution, JIPMER (An Institution of National Importance), India.

My Ph.D. research topic was on “Pharmacogenetics of Methotrexate in Rheumatoid arthritis”. During my doctoral degree, I had the opportunity to work with the clinical team to recruit patients for my study. I did a candidate gene association study and this led me to become skilled in laboratory techniques like nucleic acid extraction, genotyping with PCR, PCR-RFLP,  and real-time PCR techniques, and various electrophoresis techniques. I am familiar with sequencing also (ABI 3500 genetic analyzer).

I had the opportunity to teach basic immunology, molecular biology, and biotechnology to medical students. Also, I trained undergraduate students for their project work.

After my Ph.D. I worked as a content writer and I could publish 220+ blog articles for health, wellness, and parenting websites. Currently a freelance scientific and content writer.
