I am a climate scientist and data analyst specialising in extreme weather events — particularly marine and land heatwaves, extreme rainfall, and implications of their compounding nature on coastal and urban systems. I am completing my PhD at the University of Cape Town, where my research sits at the intersection of climate modelling, statistical analysis, and Earth observation. On the technical side, I work with Python (Pandas, Xarray, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib), high-performance computing environments, and sometimes regional climate models including WRF. I am comfortable working with large gridded datasets, reanalysis products, and satellite-derived data. Beyond analysis, I have a strong track record in science communication. I have contributed to initiatives at the World Economic Forum level and have experience writing reports, strategies, and educational content for non-specialist audiences. I take on projects involving climate data analysis, environmental impact assessments, technical writing and editing, research support, and science communication. I bring both rigour and clarity to every project.
