I am a medical doctor with an MD in Community Medicine and over eight years of experience working in the field of public health. My professional learnings at premier institutes in India have given me a deep understanding of the public health landscape including the challenges and opportunities associated with program implementation at the field level and at the health systems level. As a part of my training and work profile in the past, I was actively involved in running clinics, conduct teaching and training of medical students and of health care workers. I supervised the implementation of national health programs at different health posts. I am skilled at both verbal and written communication and have experience of working with diverse stakeholders, including government institutions, community leaders, healthcare workers and clinical doctors. I have worked on a variety of research projects in the fields of maternal and child health, infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases with 15 published articles (including 4 systematic reviews) in peer reviewed, indexed journals. I am well trained in epidemiology, research methodology and use of statistical software.
