Maintaining a high standard of food safety and quality is a wholesome sense of responsibility of food producers. Since foods have to pass a diverse stage of treatments, processes, modifications, and distributions, it is crucial to implement stringent risk assessment at each critical control point. Once food-borne outbreak occurred, affected food manufacturers were traumatized by profit loss due to product recalls. Their brands may be diminished because it was hard to regain consumers’ trust. As a food microbiologist, I can assist and design potential solution to reduce food-borne illness.These unfortunate consequences of food-borne illnesses should be halted and I want to be part of those who are making significant improvements to public health.
