I build machine learning models to solve scientific and production problems. Specializing at the intersection of materials science, deep learning, and industrial systems, I bring a PhD and 14+ years of experience across aerospace, semiconductors, energy, and biotech. Recently I created an automated materials process for a micron-scale 3D printer, optimized peptide binders for chemical biomarkers in breath, and built an edge vision system for a battery layer blade coater. Specific expertise includes distributed and HPC computation, Python and PyTorch, and manufacturing applications of materials characterization and microscopy tools. As a postdoc and founder/CEO of Odo Labs, I currently lead development of our breath-based diagnostic biosensor. I'm available for hourly consulting and project-based work on hard ML problems that require scientific priors, small datasets, or production deployment.
