I am an engineering professional with extensive experience in rock mechanics, fluid mechanics, continuum mechanics, computational mechanics (Finite Element, Finite Difference, Discrete Element, and Finite Volume), applied mathematics, facility engineering, modeling & simulation, applied machine learning, and software development. Throughout my career, I have established a reputation as a transformational leader who is driven by challenge, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence. My ability to build consensus among executive teams and stakeholders to promote transparency and influence positive change has been repeatedly proven. I have over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas, process, and construction industries. Some of my current and past projects include: 1. Antaeus Technologies • Developed over 180 petrotechnical solutions in several disciplines including Drilling, Completions, Geomechanics, and Petrophysics. •. Designed machine learning algorithms for several petroleum engineering-related problems. •. Provided mathematical functions for data processing, including smoothing, despike functions in JavaScript. 2. NextEra Energy • Reviewed work documents and standards on several engineering projects including pipeline construction, compressors & pumps, gas metering, instruments & controls, corrosion prevention & control, safety, etc. Ensured the standards comply with regulatory and international standards. • Using Excel VBA developed software applications for estimating compressor requirements, pipeline capacities (including technical & operational constraints), gas PVT properties, gas blending, blowdown time and spacing, etc. 3. Texas A&M University Derived, using fundamental engineering principles, new theories on multiphase fluid flow, sand production mechanisms, and wellbore breakout mechanisms. The new postulations provide an in-depth understanding of multiphase fluid behavior in confined and unconfined spaces, radial and axial erosion around wellbores, and wellbore-breakout splinters respectively. My recent research activities focus on applied mechanics and machine learning applications to the oil and gas industry. less
