I am an environmental microbiologist and bioinformatics scientist with over 30 peer-reviewed publications, specializing in plant and soil microbiome research, antibiotic resistance gene (ARG) surveillance, and large-scale metagenomic data analysis. My work spans rhizosphere ecology under abiotic stress, resistome profiling in agricultural soils irrigated with wastewater, and functional microbiome characterization using shotgun metagenomics. I build end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines for 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing (QIIME2, DADA2, phyloseq) and shotgun metagenomics ( MetaWRAP pipeline, MetaPhlAn4, HUMAnN3, DeepARG, MEGAHIT, Prokka). I work on both illumina short-read and nanopore long-read data. I have processed datasets exceeding 1,000 samples on high-performance computing clusters and deliver reproducible, publication-ready outputs in R. My analyses routinely include alpha and beta diversity, community assembly modeling (null models, NST), FAPROTAX functional profiling, MAG recovery, and ARG co-occurrence network analysis.
