My Research and consultation Interests Involve Study of Pathophysiology of Insulin-Secreting Pancreatic β-Cells in Type 2 Diabetes, Determination of Statins' Antioxidant Capacity, Examination of Superoxide Dismutase Isoform 1 and Catalase Interactions with Statins, Mechanistic Understanding of Oxidative Stress and Antioxidative Defense at Cellular Level, Analysis of Lecithin-Cholesterol Acyltransferase and Cholesteryl Ester Transfer Protein Activities, Influence of Obesity on Oxidized LDL (HNE-LDL) and LP- Associated Phospholipase A2 Activities, Separation of LDL and HDL Subclasses and Size Phenotyping and Characterization of LDL/HDL Subclasses Profile. I believe that the field of redox biology provides better understanding of the cellular processes and metabolic diseases/conditions, e.g obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular problems that would lead to a significant contribution to discovery/improvement of drugs.
