As a scientist and an engineer, I have utilized my skill set to focus on multi-disciplinary problems. I have spent the last 8 years working closely with engineers, physicians, and biomedical scientists to solve health-oriented challenges. I created experimental design protocols, incorporated statistical plans, and executed in vitro, ex vivo, and human in vivo studies (140+ patients) using portable clinical systems. Furthermore, I am able to process and analyze data using custom written software and interpret findings. Being able to frame clinical challenges and think creatively has allowed me to tackle multiple projects in parallel. Furthermore, I have presented my research findings to leaders across multiple disciplines that range from biophotonics to medicine. This skill set will be essential to dissect challenges in developing medical technologies that improve existing methods and answer unmet clinical needs.
