I am Dr. Patrick Oduor Owoche, currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Information Technology and Coordinator Linkages and International Affairs at Kibabii University. I hold a PhD in Information Technology, an MSc in Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Education in Science (Maths & Physics) as well as a certified Information Communication Technologist My academic credentials were acquired from reputable institutions in Kenya, setting a solid foundation for my career in education and research. I began my teaching career at Kibabii University in 2015, following several years of teaching in South Carolina, USA, and within the Kenyan educational system. My research interests are diverse, encompassing web and multimedia technologies, cloud application development, social media, and instructional design, with a particular focus on enhancing educational outcomes through technology. I am a certified doctoral supervisor, trained at Stellenbosch University in South Africa. I bring a structured and insightful approach to guiding research initiatives, actively supervising Masters and PhD students. In addition to my supervisory role, I am a trained manager of internationalization from Leibniz University of Hannover, Germany. I facilitate virtual exchanges and incorporate international perspectives into the curriculum, fostering global understanding among students. As a trained virtual exchange facilitator from the Stevens Initiative Virtual Exchange Academy in the USA, I manage the integration of digital and global dimensions into educational strategies. My work has been published in several refereed journals, and I participate actively in both national and international academic forums. I have held positions on several critical committees at Kibabii University, including the Research Crack Team and the Ad-Hoc Committee on Digital Innovations for Business Resilience in the East African Community. My international experience includes roles as a resource person and visiting faculty in India, which have enriched my global academic contributions and collaborations. I am a member of the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), which underscores my commitment to the advancement of technology and education. My professional practice is dedicated to leveraging digital innovations to enhance educational and social progress.
