I am a Senior Research Scientist and Assay Development Manager with over eight years of experience in assay development, proteomics, and drug discovery, specializing in diagnostics for oncology and infectious diseases. My expertise lies in leading cross-functional research projects, developing innovative biochemical assays, and optimizing diagnostic solutions to enhance product performance and accelerate market entry. Expertise & Skills I have extensive experience in assay development techniques, including ELISA, mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS & HPLC-MS/MS), PCR (qPCR/RT-PCR), and bioconjugation methods. My analytical skills extend to flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, capillary electrophoresis, and advanced data analysis using R, Python, and MATLAB. Additionally, I have a strong background in nanofabrication and sensor development, including photo/electron beam lithography and reactive ion etching. Research & Professional Experience I have led various research projects in both industry and academia. At Hound Labs Inc., I played a pivotal role in developing and optimizing highly sensitive biochemical assays for detecting cannabinoids in breath samples, working closely with regulatory agencies and CDMOs. I also contributed to strategic product development and clinical study design. Previously, at ProteinSimple (a BioTechne brand), I developed protein characterization assays and automated screening methods for drug discovery applications. My postdoctoral research at Tulane University focused on nanoplasmonic biosensors for detecting extracellular vesicle biomarkers, contributing to non-invasive diagnostic advancements for infectious diseases. During my PhD at Arizona State University, I developed high-throughput liquid biopsy assays for early cancer detection, collaborated with leading cancer research centers, and designed novel nanoplasmonic biosensors for disease diagnostics. Publications & Contributions I have authored 18 peer-reviewed articles with over 900 citations, including research on nanoplasmonic sensors, exosome-based cancer diagnostics, and protein analysis techniques.
