Background : I am interested in applying Computer Aided Drug Designing tools, specifically target-based screening to evaluate the inhibitory potential of natural products, drugs and semi-synthetic compounds on various targets of interest. My PhD topic allowed me to successfully utilize these techniques to demonstrate the potential of pyrroquinazoline alkaloids of a medicinal plant as inhibitors of eicosanoid pathway enzymes. I had previously collaborated with multiple groups to carryout screening of drugs and natural products for their SARS-CoV-2 protease inhibitory potential. Technical Skills : - Molecular Dynamics with AMBER and GROMACS for protein, protein-ligand and membrane protein systems. - MD with all-atom (protein-ligand), United atom force fields (protein in water and bi-lipid layer) - Free energy calculations using MM-PBSA and Interaction Entropy - Visualization (movie making / illustrations) of interactions (protein-ligand) using VMD, CHIMERA and PyMol - Docking and Ensemble docking using Autodock Vina - Graphing and statistical analysis using GraphPad Prism.
