I have more than six years of research experience in the field of genetics and genomics I am keen to leverage my extensive background of Next Generation Sequencing techniques, molecular biology, functional genomics, bioinformatics mining and statistical interpretation, where my scientific and problem solving skills along with my past experience can be utilized for achieving the organizational goals MAJOR RESEARCH SKILLS: High Throughput Next Generation sequencing (Whole Genome, RNA Seq, ChIP Seq, Exome Seq etc.) using Illumina Platform, Variant Discovery from Exome data, Designing functional assays for identifying pathogenicity of variants. Statistical interpretation, Excellent bioinformatic skills (NCBI, ENSEMBLE, UCSC, IGV and associated tools and databases). Molecular genetics: Genomic DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, ChIP, Molecular cloning, FACS, Cell culture, Generation and labelling of DNA/RNA probes etc., Plasmids isolations, Western Blot, Q PCR, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, Luciferase assays, Sanger Sequencing, etc. High Throughput Zebrafish housing facility and work related to zebrafish biology (Genotyping, Microinjections, ISH, Transgenic line, Insertional Mutagenesis, Phenotyping, Micro-gavage etc.) Maintaining mouse colonies, Writing DEC protocols for animal use and disease modeling.
