プロフィール概要

I hold a PhD in Medical Anthropology with the University of Edinburgh. My research focus was on Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases in Scotland, working closely with patient advocates challenging the NHS medical system and seeking to change medical knowledge through citizen science, awareness campaigns, and political petitions. My writing experiences include: first, publishing my own work in peer-reviewed open access anthropological journals and national Scottish newspapers. As such, I have strong experience in writing for diverse audiences. Second, I curated two medical blogs within the Edinburgh Centre for Medical Anthropology, conducting interviews with leading specialists on their novel work, summarising research grants and project outputs, and am such an enthusiastic author for my colleagues' work. I also have extensive experience working as a Research Assistant within the Edinburgh Centre for Medical Anthropology on the topics of One Health, zoonosis, microbes, environment, and more. I am currently preparing two articles for publication in academic journals, and a third article will be published this year with Engaging Science, Technology and Society. I am a kind, enthusiastic, and hard-working academic with flexible hours, and am fluent in English, Spanish, German, and currently learning Italian.
