An avid proponent of sustainability, Sahra is using her Law Degree (LL.M) and Bachelor in Business Administration to work in the field of public policy research and organizational management. Sahra has focused her research on e-waste reduction strategies, foremost public policies governing product design, recycling, and repair of consumer electronics. Currently, Sahra is working as a Researcher and Coordinator on a project concerning consumer access to repair services of electronics. Unique in its kind, the project spans over several legal areas, including Intellectual property, Competition, Consumer and Product Design Laws, in the US and the EU, and involves six scholars. Sahra has also explored supply chain management strategies for preventing the entrance of hazardous chemicals into consumer products. In addition, Sahra is currently exploring the intersection between emotional well-being and sustainability as societal goals for a future book publication. As Consultant and Project Manager, Sahra has experience from non-profits, public entities and businesses. She has led projects in China, Cameroon, and the United States in the fields of sustainable business strategies, energy management, humanitarian aid, and public policy research. Among her previous employers are the United Nation’s World Food Programme (WFP), Connecticut Sustainable Business Council and IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute. In an advisory capacity, Sahra has consulting experience from a variety of fields and topics, including CRS Program Development in sports for Civic Mind, and business engagement in support of carbon pricing for the CT Sustainable Business Council. In the area of organizational strategy, she has advised IVL Swedish Research Institute on the development of a global responsible sourcing-platform, and SolerCool LLC on global business development.
