I am a disciplined research professional bringing to the table over several years of experience as a scientist, teacher, content specialist and now as part of editorial team of the journal. I am a Molecular biologist with specific interests in reproductive and cancer biology. During my tenure, I have worked on the molecular mechanisms underlying endometrial cancers and embryo implantation. As a scientist, I have employed various molecular biology techniques like DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, immunohistochemistry, histology, immunofluorescence, ELISA, western blotting, in situ hybridization, cell culture, cloning, creating transgenic cell lines and animal handling. My research project involved deciphering the role of homeodomain genes to study endometrial cancers using cell in vivo and invitro models (mice and cell lines) where we used gene editing techniques to knockdown HOXA10 in mice and cell lines. I am well versed with using databases like PubMed, NCBI-GEO, TCGA and possess sound knowledge of statistical analysis and data representation using GraphPad Prism. In the past I have worked on several interdisciplinary research projects, published research articles in various indexed journals, mentored various graduate and post graduate students, mentored several graduate/post graduate students, teaching undergraduate & post graduate courses, and provide service to the department & profession. I have profound capability to ICMJE and COPE guidelines, journal policies, and communication process.
