I am a PhD graduate in Cellular and Molecular Biology and my area of expertise is Inflammation and Metabolic Diseases. My PhD thesis focused on investigating the role of Annexin A1 in Obesity associated inflammation. The research consisted of basic wet lab scientific techniques (Cellular, Molecular and Immunology techniques) and clinical research study. I presented preliminary results at national (UK) and international conferences (Germany) as poster and oral presentations (Won 1st prize). I am currently in the process of disseminating the findings to publish an article in a well reputed journal. Through my PhD thesis, I was introduced to the use of programming languages to analyse and compute data visualisations of complex data. I became interested in the idea of using machine learning to solve biological problems. Thus, currently I am undertaking a Data Science course through which I am being introduced to different libraries and programming languages (Mainly Python and R), algorithms, machine learning and TensorFlow. I am looking to use my expertise through advanced projects requiring research, writing and constructing high quality outputs. Furthermore, I am looking to enhance my skills and knowledge in the field of data science, therefore, would be really excited to work on beginner to intermediate range projects.
