I am a freelance biotechnologist and molecular biology researcher with hands-on experience in CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, gene expression analysis, and plant stress physiology. I hold a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CGPA 9.11/10) and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (CGPA 9.13/10). My core expertise lies in molecular cloning, plasmid and genomic DNA isolation, RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, PCR (colony, plasmid, RT-PCR), primer and gRNA design, and gene silencing techniques. I have designed and constructed CRISPR/Cas9 cassettes to silence drought-responsive genes in rice and conducted gene expression analysis to explore stress-induced gene behavior under abiotic conditions. I am also skilled in bioinformatics tools including BLAST, molecular docking (AutoDock, PyRx), phylogenetic analysis, and in silico gRNA validation. My research has been published in a peer-reviewed journal, focusing on CRISPR gRNA design for drought tolerance in rice. I’ve completed internships at Kerala Agricultural University and the Kerala Police Academy, where I worked on DNA fingerprinting, PCR, and phytochemical analysis. My academic and research journey has shaped me into a detail-oriented scientist with strong analytical and technical writing skills. I am passionate about applying molecular biology and computational tools to solve real-world biological problems.
