I am an infectious disease researcher and science communicator. My graduate work focused on understanding how small signaling molecules help the human pathogen, Mycobacterium tuberculosis senses its surroundings and recalibrates its' gene expression. In my postdoctoral projects, I worked on establishing a novel human intestinal organoid model for the pre-clinical evaluation of vaccine candidates. I enjoy working on projects that require me to communicate life sciences topics to diverse audiences- experts and non-experts.
