I am Professor of Veterinary Hematology and Clinical Pathology in the field of Veterinary Medicine at Haramaya University, Ethiopia. Experienced lecturer and researcher having close to two decades of teaching and research (especially animal production and animal health). As an academician I have published more than 45 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and some book chapters. Also actively involved in the scientific community through other professional services including involvement as an advisory and editorial board members of various journals and reviewer of many articles submitted for publication in national and international journals. Having supervised DVM thesis research, MSc thesis research and PhD dissertation research of a students to completion and published research findings I have a keen knowledge and skill in scientific writing and academic editing. Actively serving in community engagement activities with respect to animal health by participating, coordinating and supervising problem solving community-centered initiatives, campaigns, training and programs in different parts of Ethiopia. I have also coordinated regional, national and international collaborative projects. On top of that I have a good research experience in the area of animal production, animal health. Have served in various administrative position of my university including, Animal Health Research Coordinator, Department Head of Parasitology and Pathology, Program Coordinator of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Editorial Manager for the East African Journal of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (EAJVASc), and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of CVM.
