I worked in various projects in different research areas related to microbiology, molecular biology, cancer research, protein purification, and analytical process development for the microbial biotransformation products. In my doctoral degree mainly focused on the exploitation of chemical libraries for screening of anti-infective potentiality in various disease conditions and development of stable, biocompatible drug delivery system for the anti-infective agents. Skills acquired during my previous experience are • Animal Cell culture: Handling and maintenance of cell lines, Screening of compounds for cytotoxic activity (MTT & SRB assay) • Molecular Biology: Polymerase chain reaction, Restriction analysis of Plasmid DNA, Plasmid isolation in small and large scale, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Isolation of gDNA and RNA, DNA binding studies (RED assay etc.) • Protein work: Recombinant protein expression, Protein purification using FPLC, Enzyme assays and inhibitor assays, and Native PAGE, Western Blot • Microbial work: Screening for antimicrobial and antifungal activities of a compound, Bacterial growth curve analysis • Bioinformatics: Docking, In silico ADMET predictions, BLAST, FASTA, Multiple sequence alignment, Phylogenetic tree construction • Immunological studies: ELISA, Immunocytochemistry From past one and half year I developed bacterial detection kits for water testing. Further, developed the probiotics for aqua and agriculture farming. Presently working on the commercialization of probiotics and development of other diagnostic kits to improve the human health by reducing the antimicrobial resistance development indirectly.
