I am a terrestrial ecologist with expertise in forest ecology and sylvics, ecosystem dynamics and productivity, Soil-vegetation-water interactions, soil ecology, carbon sequestration, ecosystem classification, vegetation mapping, and Climate change impact and adaptations. I have a unique combination of science, research, entrepreneurial and management skills which is developed through working in academic and consulting environments, developing businesses in Canada, leading several environmental projects, teaching courses at University of British Columbia, supervising and training small and large groups of trainees, leading environmental projects in a wide range of ecosystems, both inside and outside of Canada. I am an expert in literature review, writing technical reports, providing content, conducting systematic reviews and reviewing scientific documents. As a new part of my career, I am pursuing new paths to apply my expertise into Indigenous-led conservation of biological diversity in Canada.
