I am an experienced medical writer available for medical communication projects and the preparation of regulatory documentation. I deliver high-quality translations of medical texts (English to Polish and Polish to English), including clinical trial documents. Texts I write are correctly structured, and I carefully tailor them to your audience. ​I operate effectively in a wide range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, cardiology, intensive care, cardiothoracic surgery, dermatology, respiratory medicine, gynaecology, and immunology. I also have a keen interest in public health, particularly global health, health economics, and health inequalities. I am happy to travel to visit clients, attend advisory board meetings and conferences. I am fluent in English and Polish. I will be excited to help you with your current or upcoming projects. I specialise in the following types of medical writing: Clinical Trials: ​-Investigator Brochures -CSR (+ lay summaries) -Protocols and ICF -Translation of all types of clinical trial documents (Polish to English, English to Polish) General Medical Writing: -Advisory board reports (including virtual teleconferences) -Conference reports -Press releases -Content for websites and social media -Newsletters -Articles for media outlets -Materials for internal communication -Manuscripts for publication in scientific journals -Correspondence with reviewers -Adverts -Slide kits -Editing ​ My background: ​After graduating from medical university, where I studied in an English language programme, I left Poland and began my work as a physician for the NHS at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough (UK). As a Senior House Officer, I had the chance to work as a member of many clinical teams within specialities like gastroenterology, upper GI surgery, lower GI surgery, dermatology, plastic surgery, and ENT. Medical writing was part of the job as I was continually elaborating on the clinical state of patients in case notes and writing requests for consultations to senior physicians from various specialities. Moreover, being part of multinational interdisciplinary teams has caused a significant improvement in my communication skills. During that time, I also learned to explain complex medical issues to patients and their families, which is a skill I find especially helpful in my work as a medical writer. After a few years of clinical practice, I got involved in the writing of manuscripts and quickly realised that the career of a medical writer is the one I want to pursue. After discovering the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and attending their medical writing workshops I started to appreciate how important it is to follow guidelines on good publication practice. The membership also allowed me to build a professional medical writing network. Currently, as a freelance writer, I work with Medical Affairs departments of pharmaceutical companies, CROs, biotech companies, hospitals, and health organisations. I had the privilege of working at the Ministry of Health of Poland, where I was responsible for writing reports from a long series of meetings with key advisors who represented most of the medical specialities. This experience ignited my interest in advisory board and conference reporting. I also had the chance to assist one of the departments within the Ministry with the translation of scientific publications from English into Polish. Most recently, I worked closely with one of the medical writing offices in Warsaw, Proper Medical Writing, where I gained more experience in the preparation of slide decks, literature reviews, and manuscripts while working for their pharmaceutical clients.
