Trevor Sasserath, MS, is a Biochemistry Scientist at Sciperio in Orlando, Florida. He has extensive experience in microphysiological system (MPS)/organ on a chip (OOC) experimental design and fabrication, comprising every stage from cell selection, microdevice fabrication, culture medium optimization, and protocol optimization. He has worked with a myriad of human cell lineages in his efforts to create novel MPS platforms, including induced pluripotent stem cells (IPSCs), hematopoietic stem cells, motor neurons, skeletal muscle, brain microvascular endothelial cells, intestinal enterocytes, cardiomyocytes, hepatocytes, and erythrocytes. Additionally, he has created OOC platforms to study live bloodborne illnesses, including malaria. He was one of the founding scientists at the groundbreaking body on a chip company, Hesperos, and is currently head of Biochemistry at Sciperio.
