I have an extensive background in science having studied Biology as an undergraduate and Infectious Diseases as a master's student. I have conducted research in Africa on the Cichlid fish Dimidiochromis kiwinge as well as research on malaria during pregnancy; other research undertaken includes: Research into Yersinia pestis, the life cycle and history of plague, and a grant proposal and research proposal for research into sexually transmitted infection in older adults. During my career I have gained experience in writing and editing scientific papers; I also have experience conducting literature reviews. My laboratory experience is in PCR, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, and microscopy of wide range of sample types.
