• Currently working on application of additive manufacturing (3D printing) for aerospace industry. Previous research experience: • PhD research focused on evaluating the induced residual stress levels due to manufacturing processes (including coating, interlocking and welding) for non-oriented electrical steel, using X-Ray diffraction, nanoindentation, and scanning electron microscope, which includes electron channeling contrast imaging, magnetic domain imaging and EBSD. • Contributed to research in bone abnormality due to obesity using genetically modified animal models. Investigated the mechanical properties of bone from nano-scale to macro-scale. • Novel gene characterization and biomarker development for prostate cancer. • Collaborated with Nutrigenomics New Zealand and Fonterra using high throughput screening techniques for active food components screening. • Contributed to clinical research projects involving epigenetics research for Crohn’s disease.
